The Supreme Court has established a high-powered committee, chaired by Kanchan Devi, Director General of the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), to independently review the Centre's report on the definition and delineation of the Aravalli hill range, aiming to resolve 'critical ambiguities' in its findings.
After IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore, the IIM Lucknow has decided to increase the fee of its post graduate programme in management by Rs 1,50,000 per annum from the coming academic session. "We will increase the fee from Rs 2,50,000 per annum at present to Rs 400,000 per year from 2009-10 academic session. The fee will be Rs 400,000 each year during the two-year programme," IIM Lucknow director Prof Devi Singh told PTI.
While IIM-A hiked its fee in the last academic session, IIM-K recently announced to increase its fee up to Rs 900,000. The move to hike fee is being made following the Centre's decision to stop bloc grant to the institute.
